Attraction
Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre displays a collection of restored WW1 and WW2 aircraft in dioramas created with Weta Workshop, split across two galleries: Knights of the Sky and Dangerous Skies. The centre is open daily from 9am to 4pm, and tickets can be booked online in advance or bought at the door.
The centre sits at Omaka Aerodrome on Aerodrome Road, on the southern edge of Blenheim, a short drive from the town centre. Self-drive is the usual way to reach it, with on-site parking at the aerodrome. Blenheim is roughly a 25-minute drive from Picton and about two hours from Nelson via State Highway 6. Several Marlborough day-tour operators include the centre as a stop alongside wine-region visits.
