Attraction
The Christchurch Tram is a heritage tram loop through the central city, covering 18 stops including Cathedral Square, the Botanic Gardens and Canterbury Museum. The full circuit takes about 50 minutes with trams running every 10-20 minutes. Tickets are day passes for hop-on hop-off riding, sold online, on board or at the stop 1 ticket office.
The tram loop operates entirely within central Christchurch, starting at stop 1 near Cathedral Square and Worcester Boulevard. Visitors already in the city centre can walk to any of the 18 stops; the full circuit runs roughly every 10-20 minutes. Metered on-street parking and several central city car parks sit within a short walk of stop 1. No shuttle or tour transfer is required — the tram is accessed independently by buying a ticket on board, online, or at the ticket office.
