Government Gardens Rotorua

Government Gardens is a formal lakefront park in central Rotorua, established in the 1890s on land gifted by Ngāti Whakaue on a former thermal reserve. The grounds include lawns, rose beds, croquet and bowling greens, and the Tudor-style former Bath House building. The Bath House currently houses the Rotorua Museum, which is closed for earthquake strengthening.
